We intend to keep the management of the club as flat as possible. We hope to have a seperate sub-committee to look after the juniors and a sub-committee to look after the youth and open age sides of the club, with all sub-committees reporting back to the club committee so they can keep an overview of the progress of the club sides and volunteers. Individual development projects will have a responsible person with whom you can discuss progress of their project.
As Secretary, Mal Collin should be your first point of contact and he will forward any information on to the appropriate person within the club. Please use my e-mail and phone number as a secondary to ensure the information is received - this will cover any possibility of an important message being missed due to holidays, illness etc.
The junior and youth Pirates sides did well last season, with the open age having a great summer season! We hope to do just as well this season and to develop the club further - with your support I am sure we will raise the awareness of rugby league in the Scarborough area!
General training is still Tuesday nights 6 - 7.30 at Pindar. The new season starts in September for the junior and youth sides - good luck to you all! Some sides might have additional training sessions - this will be decided and arranged by the individual team coaches after consultation with team members. The U11s will continue to meet on Thursday evening 6 - 7 for additional team training - so if anyone needs to have a chat about the club and it's progress, you can contact us at Pindar training sessions, by e-mail or phone or by coming to the reguilar committee meetings at Jacobs Mount on the second Sunday of the month at 7pm.
Cheers
John Manson
