Mission Possible

The Scarborough Pirates did the Impossible and returned the Pirates Flag back to it's rightfull place.
The battle was well fought against overwhelming odds and a pirate gang who were well armed with superior fire power. The Scarborough Pirates survived several ambush's in order to retake the flag and then fought through a fierce battle and barrage of fire to return an epic victory.
Well done lads, you managed to save the Scarborough Pirates Honour.

Who will be next to challenge the Rugby League Pirates of the East Coast.?
TRY IT Session
The Scarborough Pirates are holding a 2 day Try It Session 5th & 6th August 2010.

The Session is a 2 day course for 6 hours per day 10am till 4pm. This will include all aspects of Rugby League from learning the rules of the game to full match play. Features will include hands on skill drills which will learn you to develop passing, tackles and kicking from scratch, if you have never played before, or more advanced drills if you are wanting to develop your game further.
We will have video tutor where you will be shown video and explanation of the video you have just seen so that you can see the game and skills unfolding to better your understanding for the need to train.

We will also show you how to play other sport with a rugby ball for fun, including Rugby baseball and Kick Tennis. This 2 day experience will either learn you the game of Rugby League or further develop your skills as a Rugby League Player. We also offer the chance for you to join the club and continue playing Rugby League after the 2 days if you desire with an invitation to continue coming to our regular training sessions every Tuesday.

The session is to be held at Filey Comunity Sports Club, Filey. The cost for both days is just £9 per person and we will accept the school voucher system as well. Each person will be required to supply a pack-up lunch for each day. T-shirt and shorts or tracksuit etc and trainers and boots if you have them, and a waterproof jacket if the weather is bad. All other equipment will be provided by the club.

Spaces are limited and all people wishing to attend need to book in advance which you can do by contacting us via this site or download the booking form from HERE (Booking Form) to print and complete.

We hope to see you all then. If you have any further questions please Contact Admin via this site or talk to Rhino.
Open Day
The Scarborough Pirates ARLFC Open Day was a huge success. Dewsbury Moor came over and gave us a thoroughly enjoyable game of rugby. Although the pirates lost the boys kept going until the very end and played a huge part in making the game and the day a great day for volunteers and spectators alike.

A huge thanks to Dewsbury and all who have helped with the day and also to all the people and organisations who have sponsored and donated funds to the club which have made it possible to move to our new home. These donations include the erection of brand new posts for the club as well as meaning we were able to order new equipment which includes a range of items from new match balls to brand new post protectors and corner flags as well as new training equipment. Again your donations are very much appreciated and well needed in order for us to continue providing a club for kids of all ages to enjoy.

We will be arranging another friendly game at the club during the summer of which details will be posted here so if you missed out you will be able to catch the next one.

These new facilities have been made possible with a new deal the club has made with the Filey Community Sports Club. This is now the home of Scarborough Pirates ARLFC for all our home games throughout the next season starting in September 2010.
